Chris has worked in Community Mental health and substance and alcohol Recovery for 20 years, 15 of it in senior management roles, culminating in becoming CEO of a medium sized Charity for 10 years. He was responsible for securing and managing contracts from Local Authority, DASS, Public Health and NHS – including Statutory Advocacy and IAPT services. He supported the introduction of ABCD principles in Wirral/Merseyside as an independent consultant working for both NHS and Public Health.
He is also a consultant advisor to local Authority / Public Health Directorate and Mental Health Trust Senior Managers.
Chris has successfully advocated innovative projects to support social issues within Primary Care Health services. Such projects have evolved to use NHS measurement tools to prove the clinical / therapeutic efficacy of practical/social interventions for de-escalating mental distress.
Chris says, “once I heard Cormac talk about ABCD and it chimed with my views on increasing folks self-advocacy. I knew I’d found my real spiritual home and my thinkings and feelings around lots of stuff, literally changed overnight!”
